Wow, we have been so busy lately! Isabel is back into the school routine now. She is going in the afternoons this year, but with the same teacher and loves it just as much as last year. We had some difficulty with riding the bus on the way home from school, apparently she kept getting out of her seat, but the bus driver said she has gotten much better since the first week of school. She stays in her seat now. She has been taking Ballet classes on Wednesday mornings, which she loves!! And Wednesday evenings we go to Gilda's club for a family grief support night. There is a dinner provided and then the girls go down to noogieland with trained children's grief support leaders. Both Isabel and Sophia seem to really enjoy this experience. We are still going out to the farm on thusdays to pick up produce. That will go through the end of October--and then what will we do without all that fresh produce??!! We have recently discovered a new park over on Burton close to breton. It has tons of activities and we have met some nice people who like to play with the girls. So we like to go there on friday evenings to expend some energy. We see Marni and the boys most Sundays for dinner, which is a total blessing. I am going to miss them so much once they move. Life is certainly not slowing down!
We are all adjusting well to Isabel's medication schedule. I have had to set a timer for the morning and the evening, otherwise we will forget to give it to her, but other than that it is great, Isabel has always done a great job taking medicine! I have not seen any symptoms of seizures and still no more big ones, so we consider ourselves very blessed! I heard from the people about the MRI (finally!) and it is scheduled for Wed. Oct 21 at 10:30 am. I have asked to be put on the cancellation list to get in sooner if we can. We will get to DeVos Children's hospital around 9:00am and Isabel will be sedated. No way she could ever hold still for this. I am sure she will love it! She always asks me if she can go back to the hospital--that in itself is a blessing. What a struggle this would be if she was terrified of hospitals!!
Anyway, our lives are full of blessings these day. I hope everyone reading is as blessed as we are!
