We finally have an appointment set up for Isabel with the Pediatric Neurologist. It is set for Sept 11 at 9:15 am. We are trying not to take that particular day as a bad omen, but of course historically not much good has happened on that particular date. Anyway, we would love the continued prayers. So far we are seizure free for all that I know. Isabel is sleeping in her toddler size inflatable bed until Christmas time so that if she does have a seizure, she is less likely to hurt herself by falling out of bed or by hurting herself on the headboard or anything like that. She is looking forward to sleeping in her big bed again at Christmas. There was one morning that she woke up late and a little out of it and had some stuff dried around her mouth--it could have just been a little drool, but of course it makes me think she had another seizure. I have not witnessed any more though. She also has been talking a little bit funny--out of one side of her mouth a bit, which worries me. I am just ready to have this appointment and see what they can tell me. We will have an EEG at the appointment and then see the neurologist right after. Of course when I meet with him I will be insisting on an MRI, to make sure all is clear there.
On other positive news, Sophia took her first deliberate steps yesterday. She is growing so quickly--I can't believe it. The past month she has really taken a huge step into toddlerhood. She is communicating so much and just is being really fun! And a little less demanding, which helps...
